WORK is continuing on the city's £1million rugby hub, with the artificial grass pitch beginning to come to life.
The project to turn Horspath Sports Ground - the new home of Oxford Harlequins - into a community facility started last month.
And the £800,000 Rugby Football Union-funded pitch looks to be making good progress in time for the 2018/19 season.
Quins have moved from Marston Ferry Road and the facility will be available for all rugby teams in Oxfordshire to use.
The club exchanged contracts with Oxford City Council on a 30-year lease of the site, including the development of the existing clubhouse and changing rooms at a cost of £200,000, in May.
Quins set up a GoFundMe page to attract donations and, with the help of an RFU loan and Oxford Sports Council grant, have raised more than £120,000 so far.
