TEMPLE won a close battle to claim the Oxford & District League’s two-a-side competition.
All four teams were in contention for much of the season, before Temple’s team of John Lithgow, James Rowland, Ken Weavers and Peter Ransom saw them home by three points from runners-up Bicester F.
But even fourth-placed Forum L were only seven points off the pace.
Lithgow had the highest average in the league, but the ‘most wins award’ went to Edward Davis, of Bicester.
