Oxfordshire Under 15 captain Jack Taylor enhanced his burgeoning reputation by producing an incredible performance to help Great & Little Tew to a 120-run victory over North Cotswold in Section A of the Oxon Under 17 Club Championships.

Batting first, Tew rattled up an enormous 203-2 from their 20 overs, but it was Taylor who stole the show.

He hammered 136 not out, his innings including 20 fours and two sixes.

North Cotswold never looked likely to get close to the target, as they closed on 83-9.

North Cotswold also incurred a heavy defeat against Banbury as they lost by nine wickets.

Joe White took 3-16 for Banbury as North Cotswold rattled up 125-5.

But John Best (55) and Joe White (40no) steered Banbury to a convincing victory.

Hook Norton edged out Charlbury by 11 runs.

Richard Watson hit 40 as Hooky posted 135-8.

Charlbury managed 124-8 in reply.

In Section B, Combe moved into pole position with two narrow victories.

They saw off Freeland by three runs, and Witney Swifts by 16 runs.

Against Freeland, Jonathan Bourchier scored 36 as Combe posted 108-6.

Billy Webb then hit 29 in Freeland's reply, but they fell just short.

Combe scored 104-9 against Swifts, despite 3-19 from Graeme Woodward.

Steve Evans then claimed 3-19 as Swifts were bowled out for 88.

Eynsham saw off Kidlington by 24 runs.

Dominic Coe (34no) and Kris Clark (26) helped Eynsham to 90-4, before Kidlington crashed to 66 all out, Christian Drury taking 3-1.

Minster Lovell B returned to winning ways as they saw off Bicester & North Oxford by seven wickets.

Bicester posted only 89-5 on a poor wicket at Brize Norton, the game being switched from Minster due to the severe flooding.

Ashley Hubbert then scored 31 as Minster eased in at 90-3.

Conor Taylor hit 52 to help Shrivenham to a three-wicket win over Oxford Downs in Section C.

Downs posted 86-8, and Shrivenham edged home, despite 3-22 from Ben Little.

In Section D, Morris Motors amassed a formidable 182-3 against Didcot.

Afral Hussain (74) and Wasim Mehmood (46) were the stars for Motors, who then restricted Didcot to 95-5, Amin Rafiq taking 3-7.
