Banbury captain Benji Hector says they have not given up hope of challenging at the top of Division 1.

Speaking ahead of tomorrow's trip to Reading, Hector was happy to talk up their prospects.

"We should have the upper hand having beaten them already this season," he said.

"The next two weekends we have marked as crucial for us.

"Playing Reading and then Oxford, if we can win both of them it will give us a springboard back to the top."

Banbury have selected the same side that lost to Slough last week, but Chris Board is on standby for Steve Beck.

Beck was hit in the ribs while fielding at short leg against Slough and will have a fitness test.

Phillip Evans replaces Stuart Hole for Oxford's trip to struggling Farnham Royal.

Hole is with the Warwickshire squad for their County Championship match against Sussex.

Although he failed to make the final XI, he is also in the squad for Sunday's Pro40 match against Essex at Southend.

Oxford captain Jason Harrison said: "It shows he is going in the right direction."

Harrison injured a finger in last week's victory over Reading, but will play tomorrow after testing it on county duty for Buckinghamshire.

He added: "Farnham Royal had a great start to the season and have some top players in Warren Miller and Krishmar Santokie.

"We've got to make sure we go through our right pro- cesses.

"If we remain focussed, we should be able to get a positive result."
