Stephen Male stormed down the final 200 metres of the Chipping Norton course to claim the 20th Mota-vation title in the fourth race.
A leading group of Male, Dan Merckel, last year's champion Steve Kimber and Gary Harris, broke away early on, but Harris fell off the pace after a mile.
Kimber and Male broke away at the three-mile marker, and it was clear that a sprint finish was on the cards.
And it was Male who had the turn of speed as he raced away from Kimber to win by six seconds.
Jude Craft gained her fourth first place of the ladies' championship with a fine run that was just one second outside her 2001 course record.
In the vet 60 division, Michael Welland secured a series victory with his third win in four outings, while Paul Gregory, Michelle Buzzard and Kate Williamson all gained third victories in their respective age groups.
Oxford City's men again dominated the team scores, with Headington landing the women's race.
The final meeting will be at Oxford Harlequins RFC, Marston Ferry Road, on Thursday, August 30 (7pm).
