Headington Roadrunner Gary Harris braved the sweltering heat to win the Hooky 6-mile road race on Sunday.
He crossed the line in 32mins 51secs, seeing off Marcus Maxwell (Woodstock Harriers) and Paul Fernandez (Abingdon).
John Atyeo won the vet 40 category, clocking 34.58, with his Witney Roadrunner teammate Tony Lock second in 35.39.
