ALEX Lynn is looking forward to his first visit to Marrakesh as he targets a profitable weekend in the FIA Formula E Championship.

The 24-year-old, from Grove, heads to Africa off the back of a frustrating first round in Hong Kong last month.

Lynn finished eighth and ninth for the DS Virgin Racing team, but was forced to coast his electric car home in the second race due to expending too much energy.

With just one race in Morocco today, Lynn is hoping to impress.

He said: “We go to Marrakesh with the mentality we have to score heavily.

“We’re second in the team championship.

“So I’m looking forward to a good weekend.”

Lynn added: “I’ve never been to Morocco before, but I do know a lot of people who’ve been on holiday there.

“But you know the drill in the life of a racing driver – it’s all airport and circuit.”
