DETA Hedman booked her place in the quarter-finals of the BDO World Darts Championship after a comfortable victory on Saturday night.
The Oxfordshire county player and three-time finalist beat Rachna David 2-0 at the Lakeside Country Club.
The victory ensured there was to be no repeat of her shock first-round exit 12 months ago when she lost to Casey Gallagher.
The 58-year-old, ranked world No 1, is still searching for her first world title after being denied in three finals, but proved a class above her rival.
Hedman will next face eighth seed Sharon Prins, who beat Maria O'Brien 2-0, in the quarter-finals on Thursday.
