GEORGE Kay scored his first hat-trick in senior football as Dorchester won 5-1 at home to Oxford Brookes University in the Oxford City FA.

Kay opened the scoring with a 20th-minute penalty, awarded for a foul on Nathan Kerry.

The hosts doubled their lead when Kay headed in Jordan Lyne’s cross.

Lyne then laid on a goal for Dan Binaccioni, who made it 3-0 at half-time.

In the second half, Kay completed his hat-trick, with Lyne again the provider.

Adam Fairhurst made it 5-0 with a free-kick from 25 yards.

Dorchester then had substitute Tom Settle sent off for his first challenge, before Oscar Steggal netted a consolation for Brookes.

Meanwhile, CROPREDY gained revenge over close rivals Adderbury Park with a 4-0 home success in the Oxfordshire Senior Premier Division.

Still smarting from the heavy opening-day defeat to Adderbury, the hosts dominated the eventful game to extend their lead at the top.

After Park had been denied a penalty early on, Cropredy took a 2-0 interval lead, with both goals having an element of luck.

First Dan Reeves saw his shot fumbled over the line by visiting keeper Joe Davies.

Dan Watkin doubled the lead with a shot that was diverted in off defender Elliott Hillman’s shin.

In the second half, Chay Buckingham was instrumental to setting up Cropredy’s third goal with an inch-perfect pass to Luc Thornton, who fired powerfully home. Adderbury were then reduced to nine men as substitute Josh Northern and Jordan Molloy were both sent off – the latter for two yellow cards in 20 seconds.

Cropredy took advantage with before Buckingham rose highest to head head in their fifth goal.

Late on, Chris Horn smashed a post, while Reeves blasted over from close range, but the hosts could not score again.
