Oxford United have signed teenage goalkeeper Max Harris from Hereford on a two-year scholarship.

The 18-year-old, who came through the youth system at Edgar Street, played for England Colleges and England Schools last year.

He is highly-rated and was invited to spend a week in August training at Aston Villa.

Harris excelled while on loan with Pegasus Juniors last season in the West Midlands (Regional) League.

His Evo-Stik South League debut for Hereford came in a 2-2 draw against Barnstaple Town in April.

It is understood United have not paid a fee for Harris, but the Bulls would be eligible for a payment if he broke into the first team.
