KATIE Nutt finished top of the Eur-opean and Africa under 17s’ slalom rankings after a successful end to her 2017 campaign.
The 17-year-old, from Standlake, competed in two competitions in Florida to bring her season to a close.
At the McCormicks Fall competition, she scored a personal best in the trick event with a score of 4,420, and slalomed a half-buoy on the 11-metre length line
This result in the US moved her up to ninth in the junior world rankings.
She was the only under 17 competitor in Eur-ope to score on the 11-metre length line this season.
This weekend, Nutt is attending the British Water Ski Federations annual ball to receive awards for year’s achievements.
These included coming first in the overall mixed Premier Division and third in the open ladies (all ages) for slalom, tricks, jump and overall competitions.
Nutt, who trains at Oxford Wake and Ski Club with coach Steve Glanfield and is sponsored by Camaro Wetsuits, will be returning to Florida at the start of December in preparation for the 2018 season, when she will move up into the under 21 age group.
