OXFORD United face a trip into the unknown tonight with an FA Youth Cup trip to Gloucester City.
The U’s under 18s start as favourites at Glevum Park against a team who have come through four qualifying matches just to reach the first round.
But scouting the opposition has proved difficult for United.
Youth team boss Leon Blackmore Such said: “With sides we play in the league we have video footage, but we’ve had nothing.
“Even trying to find their league online has been a struggle.
“They’ve not had a fixture since it’s been arranged, so all we’ve got is speaking to a couple of people who know how they play.
“It gives us a little inkling, but no-one really knows.”
The competition remains the highlight of the season.
Blackmore Such said: “They’re all bouncing around the training ground.
“If they go on in their football careers they will have more important games, but dealing with these experiences now is brilliant for them.”
