OXFORD City Stars have continued to add further strength and depth to their squad with the signing of defenceman Martyn Gray from Bracknell Hornets.
The 24-year-old, who has also played for Swindon Wildcats and Sheffield Senators, where he was alternate captain, worked with head coach Kenny Redmond during his time with the Berkshire club.
Gray cannot wait to get started when the new National League Division 2 season starts in September.
He said: “I’m excited to be joining Oxford and looking forward to working hard and hopefully having a great season.
“I’m happy to be playing for Kenny again, he’s a great coach and expects a lot from his players.
“The fans have been great whenever I’ve played against Oxford, they really get behind the team.”
Redmond said: “I’m delighted to have signed Martyn.
“He improved immensely with the Hornets last season, he’s a good ‘stay at home’ defenceman who battles hard in every game.
“He has a great attitude and wants to improve every time he’s on the ice.”
