JOHN Lundstram could leave Oxford United and seal a move to Sky Bet Championship side Sheffield United within the next 24 hours.
The U’s skipper was left out of tonight’s pre-season friendly with Brentford.
And boss Pep Clotet confirmed after seeing his side lose 4-3 a deal could be finalised tomorrow that would see the midfielder end his two-year stay with the U’s.
Sheffield United, managed by former Oxford boss Chris Wilder, were understood to have tabled a £500,000 bid for the 23-year-old, who was in the final year of his contract with Oxford.
Clotet said: "We've had a proposition for John from Sheffield United.
"I will look at the paperwork and we might be able to finalise everything tomorrow."
