A TINY roach was enough to win Littlemore Angling Society’s Keith Mills Memorial Cup on Hinksey Stream.
It is not unusual for a match to be won with a solitary fish, but Dave Allsworth secured his first win of the season with one weighing just four drams.
Allsworth took the fish on the pole with bread punch, while all the other 12 anglers blanked.
Meanwhile, 16 North Oxford AS and Charlbury AS anglers braved the cold on an ice-covered Oxford Canal at Aristotle Lane.
For the second week running, Alan Steele led the field with 2.6.0 of roach and perch.
Dave Head had 2.0.0 of perch for second spot, followed by Antony Tomkins’s 1.7.0 of skimmers.
