Oxfordshire celebrated their centenary in style with a 202-151 win over the English BA in their nine-rink game at Oxford City & County.

EBA president Peter Arnold brought a team containing senior vice-president Cliff Waterman, junior vice-president Dennis Cousins and five past presidents.

Nineteen counties were represented in Monday's match with five county presidents.

Oxfordshire president Malvyn Pitman's team contained senior deputy president John O'Shea, ten past presidents and players from 19 Oxfordshire clubs.

Oxon won on six rinks with skips Mike Andrew and Gordon Roper contributing 47 shots to the winning margin.

Andrews's rink triumphed 38-8 - with ten unanswered shots over the last three ends - to earn the EBA spoons and OBA centenary mugs.

Buoyed by their success, Oxfordshire beat Herefordshire 136-78 in a friendly at Carterton on Tuesday.

Colts badges were awarded to Ian Hale, Richard Green and Trevor Wakeman.
