NEIL Harris has been impressed with the way Oxford United have fared since beating his Millwall side in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy last season.
The U’s, then in Sky Bet League Two, won 2-0 at the Den in the area final first leg and reached Wembley after losing a tense second leg 1-0.
Michael Appleton’s side went on to win automatic promotion and go into tomorrow’s game at the Kassam Stadium two places above Millwall in the League One table.
Harris believes the Lions will need to be at their best to continue an encouraging spell of form.
He said: “Oxford have had a slight change in personnel during the summer, but they are still an attack-minded team so we will have to defend well and be a threat going forward.
“They gave us two very good games last year and they have kicked on.
“They have made a solid start this season.
“They have some dangerous players so we’re expecting a difficult game, but we’ll be confident going into it after three wins in our last four outings.”
Millwall went six weeks without a league win, but won 3-1 at Northampton Town in their last away game.
They beat Fleetwood Town 2-1 last weekend.
