BANBURY ended a run of three defeats in beating Old Centralians 33-20 at Painswick Road.
A Cash Chilvers try, converted by Ed Phillips, made it 7-0 to Bulls.
But they were punished for losing the ball and two tries, one converted, saw the hosts lead 12-7.
Banbury replied as Sam Stoop went over for an unconverted try, but they trailed 15-12 after an Alex Cox penalty.
Bulls started the second half well, scoring three converted tries.
Phillips, Josh Deegan and Jack Briggs went over to make it 33-15.
The hosts then hit back with an unconverted score and Matt Brock was sin-binned, but Bulls held on.
Witney lost 24-14 at Reading Abbey.
The hosts led 12-0 at half-time, thanks to tries from Gavin Dampies and Dillon Baptista. Oliver Walton converted the first score.
George Lewis crossed for a try and kicked two penalties to reduce the deficit to one point for Witney.
But the hosts responded and Dampies went over to make it 19-11.
Lewis kicked a penalty and Witney went in search of another score, but Abbey sealed victory when Jamie Burke was yellow-carded and Walton kicked the three points.
The score has been recorded as a 24-17 victory, but it is understood both sides are in agreement to have the result changed to 24-14.
Oxford Harlequins remain winless after a 12-6 defeat to Swindon.
Maleli Naiova’s try gave the visitors a 5-0 lead, but two Sam Watkinson penalties put Quins in front.
Adam Westall crossed for Swindon and Wayne Muhern converted.
Quins searched for a reply, but were held up on a number of occasions.
Grove earned a four-try bonus point in losing 37-25 at Maidenhead.
