OXFORDSHIRE youth team suffered their first defeat of the season when they lost 11-4 to reigning champions Essex.
It took a massive performance from last man Ashley Presley to prevent Oxon under 21s suffering a whitewash, as they lost 4-1.
Man-of-the match Presley hit seven centuries, and also recorded 70 and 115 check-outs to finish with a massive 25.73 average.
The Oxon under 18 boys team went down 5-2, their two wins coming from Lennon Cradock and Sam Payne.
In only his second match for the county, Cradock produced a 113 out-shot in a 3-2 success and had an excellent average of 21.87.
Payne also won his match 3-2, holding off a challenge after leading 2-0.
Oxon’s girls lost 2-1, Shannon Billingham winning 2-1 on her debut, while Lucy Moore lost 2-0, despite scoring a brilliant maximum.
