Oxfordshire's Under 13 girls felt they had done enough when they bowled Buckinghamshire out for 78 in their match at Abingdon Vale's Hales Meadow.
With the visitors struggling on 49-7, the tail wagged to add some respectability to their score.
Oxon's reply got off to a jittery start as Rose Back and Caitie Burton both ran themselves out.
Elspeth Walker and Linsey Smith briefly steadied the ship, but when they fell, followed by captain Emilia Bartram, the slide continued as they fell 18 runs short of the target at 60 all out.
