ROWENA Hearn became the youngest player to feature in the national leagues when she made her debut for Oxford Hawks on Saturday.
Hearn played for Hawks in their opening Investec Western Conference game at home to Stourport on her 15th birthday – the minimum age for players at this level.
Unfortunately, Hawks went down to a 2-1 defeat.
After trailing 1-0 at half-time, Hawks equalised when Hearn supplied the pass which Claire Werlinger deflected into the net.
But 15 minutes from time, Stourport hit the winner.
