OXFORD United have brought back pinstripes in their home kit for the new season.
Following on from the success of the retro look from the last campaign, which echoed the 1986 Milk Cup-winning shirt, the latest design also looks back.
The thin vertical blue stripes were a feature of the home kit United wore in their back-to-back championship-winning seasons under Jim Smith in the early 1980s.
It included the Division 3 title in 1983/84, which is the same level Michael Appleton’s men will be playing at next month following their promotion.
The kit goes on sale in the refurbished club shop, which re-opens this morning at 9.30.
Members of the first team squad will be turning out to help with the launch from 4.30-7pm.
The away kit and goalkeeper jersey will be launched later this week.
