Tilly Holder was crowned Oxfordshire's top champion after defeating title holders from 14 other county clubs.

The two-handicapper shot a three-over par round of 75 at The Oxfordshire to lift the Champion of Champions trophy.

Holder, who won the Oxford Ladies' title last year following a rapid rise to prominence, finished six shots ahead of Frilford Heath champion Jane Binning.

Binning edged Studley Wood junior Lauren Jupp into third on countback.

Susie Hogben, a ten-handicapper from Carswell, won the nett title with a 76.

Jupp and county captain Justine Lawrence (Henley) were second and third respectively on countback.

  • Katherine O'Connor has added the Oxfordshire junior and South East Schools Championships to her growing list of titles.

The 17-year-old Frilford and Tadmarton Heath member shot a round of 79 at Southfield to add the county junior title to the senior crown she claimed in April.

In wet conditions, O'Connor finished two shots ahead of Laura Watkins (Bicester). Nicola DuPlessis (Frilford Heath), playing off 18, won the nett prize after shooting a nett 71.

Burford's Abi Laker was runner-up after carding a 73, while clubmate Sunny Ricketts won the Stableford with Henley's Emily Keel in second.

One-handicapper O'Connor's schools' title came at Fulwell in Middlesex where she beat local player Nicola Grover by two shots.

The Welsh international now plays in the national final at Walsall later this month, aiming to make the English Schools team to face Scotland and, ironically, Wales.
