OXFORDSHIRE fought back from 7-0 down to secure an 18-18 draw with Dorset in their final BDO Inter-Counties Championship Division 1 match at Bicester.
After their ladies’ B team were whitewashed 6-0, the men’s B team led by Mark Burns won 10-2 to give Oxon a 10-8 lead.
Dorset levelled up the match on Sunday when their ladies A team triumphed 4-2, despite a superb performance from Deta Hedman, fresh from her appearance on Danny Baker’s light-hearted ‘Sausage Sandwich Game’ on Radio 5.
The men’s A match was drawn 6-6.
Oxon’s stars were Preben Krabben with an average of 29.05, and George Grant, who came from 3-0 down to grab a 4-3 success.
