THAME Town tumbled to a three-wicket defeat against new boys Kew at Church Meadow.
Chris Wynd, who made 50, was the only batsman to show the necessary application on a difficult wicket as Thame were bowled out for 151 off 59.1 overs.
Kew were made to work hard for their victory, but with Ali Jaffer hitting an unbeaten 65, they reached 152-7 off 49.3 overs.
