Lewis Coyle scored a brilliant hat-trick as Kidlington kept up their Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division title challenge with a 3-0 victory away to Ardley United on Saturday.
Martin Wilkinson’s side are now just five points behind leaders Thatcham Town with three games in hand.
Coyle gave Kidlington the lead in the 21st minute with a powerful free-kick that sped past Ardley keeper Kieran Beesley.
They doubled the lead in the 56th minute when Coyle netted from the penalty spot, after the influential Tommy Castle had been fouled.
Coyle completed his hat-trick in the 84th minute. Kristian Thomas and Chris Weedon created the chance and Coyle did the rest smashing the ball home to bring up Kidlington’s 100th goal of the season.
Luke Stone’s header goal gave depleted Letcombe a 1-0 victory at home to Tytherington Rocks in Division 1 West.
Letcombe’s long injury list was extended when Calum Pryce had to leave the field with a shoulder injury.
