Hook Norton have had two long-awaited practice nets installed following a series of grants.

The £24,500 facility has been funded by the Foundation for Sport and the Arts, SITA Landfill Trust and Lord's Taverners.

Paul White, joint-chairman of the club's junior section, said: "We have been waiting a long time for the opportunity to build these nets.

"We are very grateful to local landowners for the additional land to enable us to do so.

"It is marvellous that all the very hard work raising the funds has been extremely worthwhile.

"The two practice lanes have different specifications.

"One is for pace bowling and the other for spin bowling, enabling all the players to improve their skills."
