Chinnor Academy begin pre-season training tomorrow with the emphasis on fitness and conditioning.

Training will step up from once a week to twice in July, and will include a full session with National 1 side Coventry.

Head coach Clive Davies said: "We are interested in seeing 18, 19 or 20 year old players, who fancy a crack at high level under 19 or under 20 rugby.

"We have fixtures against the likes of Newport Gwent Dragons, Nottingham, Blackheath, Oxford University and Loughborough University in the pipeline."

Henley Hawks' Liam Wordley and James Winterbottom are in the England Counties squad, which will break new ground with a tour of Russia next month.

The Hawks pair are part of a 25-man squad, captained by Esher's Duncan Cormack, who will play three matches culminating in a clash with the Russian national side on June 16.

A few tickets are still available for Wallingford's 40th anniversary gala dinner at the Hithercroft on June 29.
