STUART Yates caught nearly 30lb of carp as he won Littlemore AS’s M Whipp Cup, on Lens Lake and Campbell’s Lake at Milton Pools.
The latter venue provided the top four weights.
Yates, who used both waggler and pole, won with a combined weight of 72lb 3oz 0drms.
Steve Pope was second with a good net of carp taken on the waggler with maggot for 69.11.0.
Paul Brant was third with 56.7.0. Mark Smith had top weight on Lens Lake with 32.7.0.
A field of 23 North Oxford and Charlbury anglers fished the Brown Brothers match, which was switched from King’s Bridge to Aristotle Lane.
Top weight went to Alan Bushall (Charlbury), who caught perch and skimmers on maggot for 5.10.0.
Reg Brant (North Oxford) was second, with Dave Pether (North Oxford) third.
