OXFORD Hawks bounced back from their defeat at Banbury in South League Premier Division 1 by beating table-topping Old Georgians 3-2 at home.
Mat Wood scored twice from open play as Hawks went into the break 2-1 up, Nick Cooper scoring for Georgians.
The league leaders equalised with a powerful drag flick from former GB Olympics star James Tindall, but Hawks then won a penalty corner which top scorer James Biggs fired low and hard into the bottom corner.
A brace from Simon Boardman helped Banbury win 3-1 at London Wayfarers, George Brooker also scoring.
Oxford made too many errors as they went down 3-0 at home to Wycombe in MBB&O Regional 1.
A goal from Ed Allen was not enough as Wallingford lost 4-1 at home to OMT.
Witney drew 2-2 with Wycombe 2nd, Rory Heaslip converting a late short corner. Andy Goznell had earlier given Witney the lead.
Bicester were hit by a stunning one-man show from Prabjot Hunjan, who got all five goals in Ramgarhia’s 5-4 win. Bicester’s goals came from Jonny Reid (2), CJ Birtles and Hugh Rowlands.
