Abingdon Conservative Club maintained their strong start in the Gentworks Oxford & District Snooker League when their C team won 5-1 at Witney B to go clear in Division 2.
Alan Doherty won the first two frames for Abingdon, which included a break of 25.

FIELDSIDE’S Paul Robinson produced breaks of 51 and 49, but still finished on the losing side in the Gentworks Oxford & District Billiards League.
Robinson (-60 handicap) also had a run of 32 as he defeated Ashton’s Shane Chambers (+90) 200-178. But Ashton won the match 2-1 thanks to wins from Pete Fenn and Terry Chambers.
