Drennan Oxford's Geoff Lewenden may have marched off with the individual honours, but it was Sensas A4 who won the team prize in the third round of the Oxford Winter League.

The venue on the Thames at Sandford and Radley started slowly, but as the light faded, a lot of fish showed.

Fishing peg five below the boathouse at Radley, Lewenden had four big chub – all caught in the last hour – for a winning weight of 19lb 9oz.

He was followed home by two Sensas A4 anglers Martin Kirk (13.14.0) and Steve Pawson (10.4.0) who were second and third.

Sensas won with 41 points, followed by Drannan Oxford on 39, Isis on 37 and Top Tackle with 21.

Yarnton & District held the third round of their own Winter League at Tunnel Barn Farm, in Warwickshire.

George Thomas came out top on Canal Pool with winning weight of 30.4.0. He also won the golden peg.

He pipped Pete Oliver, who had 29.13.0.

The returning Nick Collier was third with 27.11.0.

Mark Smith secured his first win when taking Littlemore’s Steve Denny Shield fished by 14 on a hard Anglers Hideaway.

A 4.8.0 carp dominated his winning haul of 4.10.0.

Kevin Smith had a crucian carp in his runner-up bag of 4.2.0, while Brian Hutchings and Stuart Yates tied for third on 3.1.0.

Bob Hopgood won Beehive AC’s Top Tackle points match at Frobury Farm.

Hopgood triumphed with 23.10.0 of carp to pole and maggot to beat runner-up Bob Alder (18.9.0) and third-placed Tim Whitewood (18.8.0) Paul Jackman prevailed when 12 North Oxford members fished for the Society Cup on the Oxford Canal at Elizabeth Jennings Way.

Jackman used chopped worm to tempt 6.2.0 of perch. Andy Crisp edged out Terry Whittington for second with 5.2.0 of skimmers and perch against the latter’s 5.1.0.

Stephen Malone won Tackley Sports’ Roland Proffitt Trophy at Three Pigeons on Oxford Canal.

Malone took 4.13.0 to pole to collect the £100 golden peg.

Mick Merry and John Fisher were next with 3.14.0 and 2.8.0 respectively.
