A super hat-trick by skipper Matt McKeown helped Oxford bounce back from defeat to blast visiting Eastcote 2nd 7-1 in South League Regional 1 on Saturday.
All McKeown’s goals came from drag flick shots as Oxford raced 3-0 ahead.
It was 5-0 by half-time, with further goals from Jonny Campbell and debutant Djuree de Waard.
Eastcote got a consolation goal before an Andy Wynd brace closed the game out.
Oxford 2nd went down 6-1 at Wycombe.
The visitors took the lead through Nick Greenwood.
Wycombe, however, quickly got one back.
In the second half, Wycombe soon went 3-1 up.
Oxford threw men forward, allowing Wycombe to add three more.
Oxford Hawks moved within three points of the lead in Premier Division 1 by securing a 3-2 win at home to London Wayfarers, despite finishing with only nine men.
Hawks broke the deadlock as Chris Hardy set up Tom Lawson for a tap-in.
Wayfarers equalised early in the second half, but Jack Biggs restored the Hawks lead, converting a penalty corner.
The visitors replied from a dubious penalty corner.
Tensions ran high with cards being dished out.
Hawks responded with a fast break, leading to Sam Chilvers crossing the ball for Alex Williams to convert the winner.
In Premier Division 2, Oxford Hawks 2nd drew 3-3 away to Tulse Hill & Dulwich, thanks to a hat-trick from Dan Andrews.
Witney lost a two-goal lead as they drew 2-2 away to OMT 2nd in Middlesex Berks, Bucks & Oxon Division 1.
Two goals from Ben Moss – one with a lobbed shot over the keeper and one through his legs – put Witney 2-0 up.
But OMT fought back tomake it 2-2.
Bicester gained a comprehensive 4-0 win at West Hampstead 3rd to go third in the table.
Their goals came from Jonny Reid (2), Ben Kirk and man-of the-match Rob Blackie.
