STEVE Harwood won the practice open for tomorrow’s third round of the Oxford Winter League on the Thames at Sandford and Radley.
The Drennan Oxford angler, drawn on a bottom peg at Radley, started on a maggot feeder.
He switched to the pole at 13m and had roach and perch on maggot over groundbait.
Harwood won with 6lbs 15oz, to beat second-placed Dave Johnson (Sensas A4).
