OXFORD Saints will build up to their play-off campaign by hosting a friendly against Jurassic Coast Raptors on Sunday (2.30).
The game at Abingdon RFC comes a fortnight before the first round of the post-season, when Saints visit Sussex Thunder.
They will warm up for the game against the Raptors, who are a new club planning to join the National League next year.
As part of their application process, they are required to compete in several games home and away.
While it helps the visitors’ bid to join, Saints will use the game to experiment with different combinations.
It means a big chance for the likes of second-string quarterback David McCormack, who will be taking over from Ben Denton.
Andrew Day, Saints head coach, said: “This is an excellent opportunity for depth players to prove themselves.”
