Wallingford became the first side to go through a BB&O League Premier Division season unbeaten after a 19-15 victory over Abingdon.
It was not a vintage performance, but after a long, hard season and in hot conditions, Wallingford just about did enough.
Abingdon went ahead with a converted try inside two minutes, and added a penalty to increase their advantage.
The champions narrowed the gap when Kris Blaszko forced his way over, but they could not find another breakthrough before half-time and went into the interval five points adrift.
Henry Venners brought the scores level, and Olli Henderson's conversion put Wallingford in front.
They increased their lead when Derek Viljoen dived over, Henderson adding the extra points.
Wallingford could not, however, make the game safe and were forced to endure a nervous last couple of minutes after Abingdon scored another try to reduce to gap to four points.
But they could not find a score as Wallingford ended their campaign unbeaten.
