Hook Norton's bid for a top-three finish was dented by the Sport Italia Hellenic League Division 1 West leaders Lydney Town.

Pete Macklin headed the home side in front after three minutes when a left-wing cross was poorly defended.

Hooky weathered the storm against a backdrop of leaden skies and fork lightning, but just as they looked to reach half-time only a goal down, Lydney doubled the lead.

This time it w as a right-wing cross that proved their undoing, Ross Scott firing home at the far post.

Hooky fell further behind on 65 minutes, Mark Crabbe netting No 3.

Joe Davies reduced the arrears from the spot a minute from time.

Headington Amateurs succumbed to a goal in each half against the Division 1 East leaders Bisley Sports.

They fell behind to a Peltohaka strike, but created chances themselves, Jason Maciak seeing a shot blocked from six yards.

After the break, Peltohaka netted a second goal for Bisley, while Jamie Munday headed over for Headington.
