Banbury United's reserve team keeper Joe Morrell is set to make his Premier Division debut when they travel to Rugby Town tomorrow due to an injury crisis at Spencer Stadium.

Oxford United legend Alan Judge is unavailable for the next three games as he is on a coaching course.

First-choice Alan Foster, declared fit after being out with a dislocated knee since the first game of the season, is out after pulling a thigh muscle.

In addition, their loan signing from Wycombe, Dean Thornton is also injured.

"It's a night- mare," said manager Kevin Brock.

"The lad I brought in from Leamington has a rib injury, while we are still waiting to get international clearance for another keeper who has been playing in America.

"It's no reflection on Joe who is a very good keeper. He has been doing well for the reserves and has a lot of potential."

Howard Forinton (foot) is doubtful, while Andy Baird (ankle) and Keiron Sullivan (calf) face late tests. Jody McKay is unavailable.

Their midweek win at Corby moved them up to 11th, but Brock said: "We played well. But we are not safe yet. I think we probably need another win to be sure."

Abingdon United manager Andy Slater says his side can forget about the Division 1 South & West play-offs - if they don't beat strugglers Beaconsfield.

Last Saturday's defeat by Winchester meant they are eight points from a play-off place.

"It's a must-win game. There is no doubt about it," said Slater.

"If we win and results go our way, then you never know, but it's a tough ask.

Abingdon have received a boost after midfielder Julian McCalmon turned down a move to Didcot last week.

"I think the decision shows how far we have come as a club this season," added Slater.

Oxford City defender Omar Takriti, out of action for three months after breaking an arm, is added to their squad for the trip to Windsor & Eton.

Lewis Craker is available after suspension, though he and Mark Avery are likely to be on the bench due to the excellent displays of new centre backs Gavin Lane and Stuart Cattell.

Player-boss Justin Merritt added: "It's great we made the Senior Cup final because it means our season is still alive. Everyone is fighting for their place."

Skipper Jamie Heapy returns from suspension for Didcot Town's trip to Brook House looking to end a run of seven straight away defeats. Dave Green (back) is out.

Former Oxford United youth player JP Mills plays his second game after signing from Swindon Supermarine.
