Witney may have lost the county cup final, but they have been named Oxfordshire sports club of the year.
The club picked up their award at a ceremony run by the Oxfordshire Sports Partnership, which proved a resounding success for the oval ball.
Wallingford finished runners-up to Witney, after being commended for their strong community links.
The young volunteer award went to Chris Newton of Witney RFC and the county referees' society, while fellow ref Brian Toft was volunteer of the year.
And the runner-up in the latter category went to Witney stalwart Mike Minch.
Witney were named the Rugby Football Union's Seal of Approval Club of the Year last month and the award will be presented during an RFU committee visit to Hailey Road on April 15.
