BECOMING league champions is a feat in itself, but Banbury Colts A clinched the Oxon, Bucks & Berks Colts League Division 1 title in fine style by going the entire season unbeaten.

The under 18 side won all ten of their matches, racking up an impressive 48 points.

Banbury earned eight bonus point victories along the way as they put 310 points past their rivals.

Academy manager Jamie Briggs is looking forward to a bright future.

He said: “As well as trying to win the league, which the lads have done comprehensively, our objective this season was also to introduce players to senior rugby.

“It has been very rewarding for the club to see several Colts making their Bulls and second 15 debuts this season.

“On occasions two-thirds of the Bulls 15 have come through the youth system.”
