Rover Oxford's celebrations are only just finishing after a truly memorable weekend.

Their ladies team won promotion to the National League after clinching the South Clubs' League Division 1 title with a 2-1 win at Wimbledon.

And their men beat PHC Chiswick by the same score to win the Regional Division and gain promotion to the South League for the first time in their history.

Just to round things off, Rover's men's 3rd XI also won their league to climb to Division 2 of the MBB&O - their highest position.

Rover's women took the lead in their match when Vikki Mankelow scored early in the first half.

Laura Smyth wasted a golden opportunity to double the lead when her penalty stroke was saved, but after the break, Rover doubled the lead.

Mankelow was again on target after Carolyn Brebner had done the hard work.

Wimbledon reduced the deficit, but Rover held on.

The men's side had to come from behind to clinch victory.

Knowing only a win would do, Rover were stunned when Chiswick went ahead just before half-time.

However, Rob Lawrence converted a James Nielsen pass to level, and Dan Smyth proved the hero with his 19th goal of the season to seal the championship.
