Bicester captain Steve Risbridger hailed his team's heart after lifting the Oxfordshire Shield.
He said: "To beat a side like Wallingford was a big ask.
"We were definitely underdogs, but before the game we tried to use that to our advantage.
"We just played with a lot of heart. It was a great team effort.
"All credit to the forwards today. That was where the game was won for us.
"We won our own ball, which you have to do, and stopped them playing.
"The tackling from the backs was second to none.
"This means a lot to the club. It's a great day for us.
"We knew we had to stop them out wide and did that by drifting our defence across. As a team we played for each other.
"To win today was going to be about a lot of hard work and that's what we did.
"We decided to play against the wind in the first half as we thought we would have an advantage in the second half.
"We've struggled in previous games when we have taken time to wake up, but today we were on top of our game from the start."
Wallingford coach Chris Norrington admitted: "They were definitely the better team. They got up for it and we didn't.
"Maybe we had too many changes to the team. We had two late pull-outs.
"Their forwards were magnificent. We were lucky to be 3-0 up at half-time as they had had the ball and the territory.
"Our fly half, Simon Yapp, had two great kicks, which got us going, but we just didn't get enough of the ball.
"They wanted it more. It was as simple as that."
