North Leigh stormed back to the top of the Sport Italia Hellenic League Premier Division with a 3-0 victory at struggling Pegasus Juniors on Saturday.

Kevin Lewis opened the scoring on the half-hour, running on to Simon Futcher's ball over the top to lob advancing Pegasus keeper Brian Kirkham.

Ten minutes later, North Leigh went further ahead with Futcher scoring from the penalty spot after Andy McCabe had been felled.

The visitors wrapped up victory in the 73rd minute, Liam Hope breaking clear to score with a looping shot which the giant Pegasus keeper got a hand to, but could not prevent crossing the line.

Jamie Butt's first-half strike was enough to give Witney United a 1-0 victory at Milton United.

Ben Border's corner was flicked on at the near post by Christian Perkins in the 38th minute, and Butt stole in unmarked at the back post to fire the ball home.

Witney went close to adding to their lead through Nando Perna, Mark Simms and John McMahon, while Darren Howell hit the bar for Milton.

Draw specialists Bicester Town were denied a long-awaited win by a string of fine saves by Fairford Town keeper Kyle Murdoch.

Adam Hamp finished off a good move to give Bicester the lead in the 14th minute, but then they could find no way past Murdoch.

Fairford were reduced to ten men in the second half when player-manager Ady Roper was sent off after being shown a second yellow card.

But Bicester were unable to make this count, and Ashley Edenborough reacted first to a quickly taken free-kick to equalise in the 62nd minute.

It was Bicester's third 1-1 draw in seven days and their 15th draw this term.

Nathan Jack scored twice as Thame United produced their best performance of the season to upset Shortwood United with a 3-0 victory.

Jack finished well from eight yards to give Thame the lead in the 41st minute after being played in by Ben Connelly.

Thame increased their lead in the 45th minute, Connelly's shot from 20 yards beating the Shortwood keeper with the help of a deflection.

And Jack sealed Thame's victory in the 79th minute, receiving the ball on the halfway line, beating his marker and running at goal before firing home a powerful shot from 30 yards.

Abingdon Town and Kidlington battled out a goalless draw in a dour encounter at Culham Road.

In the first half, ex-Town striker Mark Baker shot wide for Kidlington, while Abingdon's Tom Larman had a shot beaten out by keeper Floyd Croll.

Denell Thomas wasted a good chance for Kidlington in the second half, and Croll was again called into action to deny Daryl Hutt.

Wantage Town were forced to settle for a point in a drab clash against Highworth Town.

Both sides were unable to find the key to unlock the opposition defence as the game ended in a stalemate.
