The last match in the Oxford Carp Winter League was fished by 18 matchmen on a very cold, windy day at Lower Court Farm.
After a lovely week of warm, settled weather, everything went pear-shaped on the Sunday, although I was told the water still "fished its head off".
Pegged on the chimney' was RS Baits' Rob Guppy, who cruised to an easy win with a net of carp going 142.14.0, all taken down the edge with caster.
In second place and also fishing under the RS Baits banner was Scott Miller, who caught 91.6.0 of carp at 10m on pellet.
Taking third place with 80.2.0 of carp was Gary Keetley, who fished at 4m and alternated between chopped worm and caster.
