South West Counties Youth Championship
Oxfordshire Under 18s got back to winning ways with a 2-1 victory against Somerset at Witney's Marriotts Stadium.
Oxon took the lead after seven minutes, Mark Flanagan (Abingdon Town) latching on to a through ball to open the scoring.
Five minutes before the break, Craig Hambridge's measured pass picked out Kidlington teammate Neil McMahon for goal No 2.
Playing against the wind in the second half, Oxfordshire defended resolutely, with Somerset's reply coming two minutes into injury time.
Oxfordshire now rely on Cornwall losing to the Army and beating Berks and Bucks themselves to win the title.
