Bicester bid to become only the second team to defeat Wallingford this season whey they clash in the Oxfordshire Shield final at Iffley Road tomorrow (noon).

BB&O Premier Division champions and Shield holders Wallingford have won every league game this year with their only loss coming at Trowbridge in the EDF Energy Senior Vase.

Bicester captain and scrum half Steve Risbridger said: "We know we are underdogs. What Wallingford have done this season, you've got to take your hat off to them.

"It's a big achievement to go unbeaten in the league.

"They've got to be favourites, especially as they've beaten us twice.

"We are looking at what went wrong in those two games and how we can rectify it.

"They have a strong back line and we recognise that. They also play for each other.

"But it is a cup final and anything can happen. Everyone at the club is really looking forward to it."

Risbridger added: "We are missing Toby Clyde-Smith. He is going to be a big loss as he is a good lineout jumper.

"But hopefully James Shouler, our former captain, will come in, which is positive."

Risbridger and No 8 Rob Thurlow should be fit, while forwards Christian Wright and Chris Giles are added to the squad.

Wallingford coach Chris Norrington says they must guard against complacency.

Norrington said: "There's always a danger of complacency but I expect them to be up for it, to be honest.

"We had a bit of a off-day last week against Broadmoor and I think people were concentrating on the final coming up.

"The last time we played Bicester at their place it was only 12-7 and it was very tight.

"I'm quite confident that if we perform to our potential we will win. It should be a good game as Bicester try to play in an open style."

Wallingford will be without captain and fly-half Olli Henderson who is in New Zealand for his sister's wedding.

Flanker Kris Blazsko will skipper the side in Henderson's absence as part of a first choice pack.

Simon Yapp fills in for Henderson at No 10 but influential back Henry Pooler has been ruled out due to a hamstring injury.
