Oxford City Stars South Division play-off hopes have been given a boost, with Lukas Szabo returning from illness for this weekend's double-header against Streatham Redskins and Haringey Greyhounds.

Szabo missed last Sunday's 4-2 win against league winners Invicta, but is back in contention as Stars host Streatham today (5.30), before travelling to Haringey, who are unbeaten in the play-offs, tomorrow.

Stars' coach Darryl Morvan knows that this weekend's fixtures will go a long way to deciding their play-off fate.

Streatham come to Oxford on the back of two defeats by Haringey in the play-offs, while Oxford have beaten Greyhounds twice in the league this season Morvan said: "This weekend presents us with two very challenging games.

"Streatham know that anything less than a win will probably end their chances in the play-offs, but for us, it gives the opportunity to gauge our progress against a team who we ran close in our first game of the season.

"The return of Lukas gives us a boost. Streatham's defence may struggle to contain him with his turn of speed."

Morvan added: "They will be eager for revenge after we beat them twice in the regular season, including their loss to us at their own rink. We have the ability to beat them, and as with every game, our fate lies in our own hands."

The winners face the Northern region winner for the English League title.

The first child will be admitted to today's game free with every paying adult.
