Berinsfield ABC captured six victories when they staged their 13-bout dinner show at the Abbey Sports Centre.

Simon Welsh ensured a jubilant finale for the home crowd by getting the nod over Lye rival Richie Wyatt on their top of the bill lightweight clash.

There was little to separate the pair during the first two sessions, but the Berinsfield man's greater accuracy claimed the final round and the 32nd win of his career.

This was only his third senior outing after being sidelined by a road accident.

Welterweight Robbie Wright made his extra inches count to gain a split decision over Burton's Oliver O'Toole Welter in a clash that could have swung either way until the final few punches were landed.

Christy Collins, 12, delivered the first Berinsfield win of the evening by proving more focussed and precise in his delivery to gain a unanimous verdict over Burton's Zak Parker.

Will Healy came from behind to claim his third ring victory over Haddenham's Aaron Barrett, who had dominated the opening round.

The Berinsfield youngster then grew in confidence and had the better of the exchanges to gain a split decision.

After an untidy opening session, Will Joyce, 13, proved more fluent in his work to gain a majority win over Haddenham opponent Jesse Smith.

Dan Reed, 15, collected his second win in three outings by outworking Devon flyweight rival Tobin Foot in the final two sessions to collect all three votes from the ringside markers.

Another pair of teenage flyweights served up the bout of the night with Gosport's Ricky Pye edging out Richard Tyler of the host club by the very slimmest of split decisions.

Local rivalry was very much in evidence during the bantamweight encounter between Berinsfield's Roxroy Eccleston and Thame rival Matt Ramsbottom.

Ramsbottom had more in the tank and a final round flourish, during which he imposed a standing count from a five-punch cluster, sealed victory.

That elusive first win still beckons for 15 year-old Jade Clark, but she gave a determined performance against taller Unity ABC rival Bernelle Mitchell, missing out on a split decision in the opening bout of the night.

But southpaw Frankie Smith failed to get into second gear and had no argument to offer as Northolt's Amu Abou-El-Rouis saw his arm lifted in triumph.

And teenage featherweight Arthur McDonagh left it too late dent the early lead created by Harrow left-hander Frankie Corcoran.

Although the first to find his range, Jye Holland lacked the overall accuracy to match Devonport's Howard Hart' who claimed a unanimous verdict from their schoolboy bantamweight clash.

And Josh Lock lacked the firepower to match Lye rival Naz Junaid
