Goalkeeper Nick Lacey saved a penalty as Slade Farm United kept up their Banbury District & Lord Jersey League Division 2 title bid with a 1-0 victory at Duke of Wellington.
A draw looked on the cards when Duke were awarded a spot-kick ten minutes from time and Lacey kept out the effort.
The visitors dominated the first period, but they failed to put any of their numerous chances.
After the break, striker Robbie Alexander got what proved to be the winner, ghosting in from the left before executing a perfect lobbing over the onrushing keeper.
Ten minutes from time, Lacey performed his heroics as Slade held on.
