Abingdon United had to settle for a points as they drew 1-1 against Swindon Supermarine in British Gas Business Southern League Division 1 South & West.

Andy Slater's side could feel hard done by in this replayed game, having led the original game 3-0 in the last minute when the floodlights failed.

The lights stayed on last night, but this time the teams shared the spoils.

Keeper Simon Tricker kept Abingdon in the game in the first half with three fine saves from Mark Draycott, Luke Gullick and Justyne McKay.

With the interval looming, Ryan Curtin put Abingdon ahead with a precise free-kick which went in-off the bar and post.

Swindon levelled on 55 minutes as Abingdon's defence and keeper Tricker hesitated, allowing Gullick to nip in between them and shoot into an open net.

Gullick saw another effort go inches wide, while United also went close to a winner when Anaclet Odhiambo ran 30 yards and squared the ball to Curtin, but Tom King pulled off a fine save.

Abingdon Utd: Tricker, Moss, Organ, Davis, Woodley, McCalmon, Ballard, Herbert, Peirson, Odhiambo, Curtin. Subs not used: Baker, Lewis, Brooks, Ferriera, McGlynn.
